Took a while: Apple sued over iPhone 3G issues

One Jessica Smith of Birmingham has filed a class action lawsuit against Apple, alleging that Apple misled customers regarding iPhone 3G speeds.

The ten page lawsuit alleges that Apple has breached express warranty by promising internet “twice as fast” and not delivering because of connectivity problems that make speed impossible to attain. The “Defective iPhone 3G,” as it is always called in the lawsuit, would connect less than a quarter of the time in “excellent” coverage areas.
