McGraw-Hill CEO confirms the obvious, Apple tablet to be “just really terrific”

A McGraw-Hill CEO went on record during an interview with CNBC admitting they’ve been working with Apple for “quite a while” on the tablet that Apple is announcing tomorrow. So much for secrecy. Thankfully, I doubt Apple would refrain from announcing the tablet tomorrow just to make this guy look silly, but I’m sure he’ll get an informative lesson on how secrecy works at some point. Madness you say? This…is…Apple!

“Welcome to Macintosh” and “MacHEADS” to be shown on CNBC January 4th-5th

Two Apple-inspired documentaries are scheduled to be shown during the first week of the new year on CNBC. Save the date and set your DVRs to stun record, you won’t want to miss either. Welcome to Macintosh is a great documentary about the technology and products that have come from Apple over the years. MacHEADS is all about the Apple fanboys we love and the rest of the tech community loves to hate.

Planet of the Apps: A Handheld Revolution – coming soon to CNBC

CNBC is going to air “Planet of the Apps: A Handheld Revolution”—a one-hour documentary that aims to portray how the iPhone have changed lives, while showing insights into the many developers behind the apps. While the majority of the documentary will focus on the Apple iPhone App Store, CNBC’s Scott Wapner will also take a look at Apple’s biggest competitors, namely a Verizon and Google Android deal.

Fake Steve Jobs banned from CNBC. Or not. Or…yes! Wait…no.

Earlier today, Silicon Alley Insider ran a report that Newsweek’s Dan Lyons—aka “Fake Steve Jobs”—has been banned from CNBC for life because of an appearance he made on the network earlier today in which he got into a heated discussion with CNBC’s Jim Goldman over Steve Jobs’ health and how Apple handled the announcement. Silicon Alley Insider then posted an updated saying that CNBC claims they have not banned Lyons. Then they posted an update saying a source close to the situation believes Lyons has been banned. Check the video after the break, and draw your own conclusions.

Gizmodo, CNBC to strip to the waste and grapple over Steve Jobs’ health

Jesus Diaz at Gizmodo, apparently not at all concerned about Apple’s stock price or its shareholders, ran an article yesterday in which a “source” that has been “100% correct before” suggested the real reason Steve Jobs is not speaking at the Macworld Conference and Expo keynote, and is pulling from Macworld Expo forever and ever and ever, is because Jobs’ health has been “rapidly declining.” Later that day, Jim Goldman at CNBC donned his tights and headed down to the ring for the big Mac Web cage match.
