Fake Steve Jobs banned from CNBC. Or not. Or…yes! Wait…no.

Earlier today, Silicon Alley Insider ran a report that Newsweek’s Dan Lyons—aka “Fake Steve Jobs”—has been banned from CNBC for life because of an appearance he made on the network earlier today in which he got into a heated discussion with CNBC’s Jim Goldman over Steve Jobs’ health and how Apple handled the announcement. Silicon Alley Insider then posted an updated saying that CNBC claims they have not banned Lyons. Then they posted an update saying a source close to the situation believes Lyons has been banned.
