iOS 5 beta tethered jailbreak comes to Windows
The iPhone Dev Team recently released version 0.9.8b1 of its redsn0w tool, which added support for jailbreaking the first iOS 5 beta. Unfortunately for Windows users at the time, the release was for OS X only due to the fact that Apple had only released an iTunes 10.5 beta for Mac users. Now, however, the team has released a Windows version of the tool to accommodate the new Windows release of the beta iTunes version.

The second app is by eBay. Easy access to search, at a glance stats for eBay whether you’re a buyer or a seller. By the sound of it, this is basically just a native web-app… Not really sure what the practicality of having a native eBay app is, but Apple likes it. eBay app will be free on the app store at launch.

Music functions are off-limits to iPhone SDK developers
I was disappointed to hear that any functionality related to the iPhone’s music playback is inaccessible by the iPhone SDK. Although the SDK has many possibilities, anything to do with the iPhone music player is prohibited. This means that possible applications for social networks like Last.fm are not possible through the SDK. This is something more »
