Dropbox adds support for OS X Lion

Dropbox has issued an update, finally bringing its software up to a Lion-compatible build. Unfortunately, Dropbox’s software update system is very much behind the scenes and does not notify the user of the new update, nor does it update as soon as a new version is available. Therefore, if you’re a Dropbox user and don’t believe you have been updated to the new build, you can confirm this suspicion by going to Dropbox > Preferences > Account.

Dropbox – how did I ever get along without it?

How much do I love Dropbox? A lot. For someone like me, who uses three laptop computers plus an iPad on a regular basis for production work, Dropbox is the best thing that’s come down the pike in a very long time. Dropbox 1.0 released

Dropbox has announced that they’ve released version 1.0 of their file synching software. Along with other back-of-house bug fixes, Dropbox now claims their software uses 50% less memory and Selective Synch for computers with smaller hard drives, allowing the user to choose which folders will sync to a particular device.

Free Apps roundup for October 2nd, 2009

If there’s one phrase that can summarize the last week on the App Store, it’s probably “yeah, there’s an app for that.” I know we’ve all heard that one before, but this week brought some pretty unique and useful free apps.

Dropbox iPhone app submitted to App Store [updated]

The team behind Dropbox, the excellent file synchronization web/desktop program, has submitted a companion app for the iPhone and iPod touch to the App Store. Dropbox regularly makes life easier for many of us, and now its convenience will most likely (barring any other Apple ridiculousness) be in your pockets soon. The app will have a veritable plethora of features…
