EA offers free games for your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch
Electronic Arts seems to be getting into the spirit of Christmas with their special daily deals of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad apps. Through January 2, 2012, EA will be offering a number of gaming apps for discounted prices, and even some for free. It’s a month long program that will showcase EA’s most popular titles from its expansive iTunes App Store library. Today’s deals include gaming titles such as Dead Space, Mirror’s Edge, Flight’s Control, Scrabble and TETRIS for iPhone and the iPad.
iOS games on sale through Cyber Monday
This has been an interesting week for Black Friday deals, and app developers got into the spirit of Black Friday this year by bringing their own mega sales. The biggest titles from the biggest game publishers on the iOS platform are still on sale during this weekend. Gameloft, EA, Telltale, Sega, Chair and others are offering their games are great prices, and you’ve still got time to download your favorites before they get back to their regular price.

Alice: Madness Returns interactive storybook free on iPhone and iPad
Apple gamers may not be able to play Alice: Madness Returns when it comes out for consoles and PC, but that doesn’t mean we can’t read about it. EA announced today that Spicy Horse has launched the Alice: Madness Returns interactive storybook for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, available now for free.
Free apps update for December 17th, 2010
This week on the App Store there are a ton more games, but that’s not all. I also found a number of great utilities: more location tracking, a translator from the future and a great news app. And, as always, a decent number of these are limited time freebies. Grab ‘em while they’re free.
BioWare brings Dragon Age to the Mac…kind of
They’re actually bringing it to Facebook, but that’s close enough, right? BioWare has announced Dragon Age Legends, a new Play4Free Facebook game that expands on the RPG franchise Dragon Age. “The new game is inspired by the award-winning BioWare franchise but custom-designed for the casual and social play style for Facebook users of all ages.” In other words, it’s design for the exact people who wouldn’t play Dragon Age.
EA is taking the Sims to medieval times
Just when I’m about to throw up my hands in exasperation at another Sims announcement, EA comes up with an idea that could be…interesting. The company announced today they’ll be taking fake people manipulation back to medieval times with The Sims Medieval. The new series, “… brings players robust, compelling gameplay never seen before in the history of The Sims.” In other words, they’re finally geeking it up, and God bless ‘em for it.
The Sims really are taking over the world
No longer content to have relationship and bladder problems at home, The Sims are now set to take their issues around the world. EA’s The Sims Studio has announced that The Sims 3 World Adventures, has gone gold for the PC and Mac and will be available on November 17, 2009. The Sims 3 World Adventures is the first expansion pack to the #1 best-selling PC game of calendar 2009, according to NPD data.
