Apple releases iTunes U iOS app
Another major announcement today from Apple’s education-based media event is the release of iTunes U—formerly only an educational podcast section within the iTunes Store—as an official iOS app. According to Apple’s Eddy Cue, who made the announcement on behalf of the company, over 1,000 universities currently make use of iTunes U, which has seen over 700,000,000 total downloads since its launch.
Amazon Student iOS app allows students to trade in used items
Amazon has released another one of its iOS apps specifically for college students, calling it Amazon Student. The purpose of the app is to allow students to trade in their used textbooks and other items such as DVDs, games, electronics, and more towards Amazon gift cards. A user simply scans the barcode on the item(s) they’d like to trade in and the app will calculate trade-in offers based on what they are and how much they’re worth.

Yup, it’s the time of year again; the time when all of we students head back to school and spend countless hours inside of a classroom, followed by more time at home working on projects.
