Apple releases MacBook Pro 2.2 EFI Firmware Update 2.2

If you have a MacBook Pro that is running OS X 10.7 Lion, you’ll want to get the latest firmware update from Apple. The MacBook Pro 2.2 EFI Firmware Update 2.2 enables Lion Internet Recovery and fixes Apple Thunderbolt Display compatibility and Thunderbolt Target Disk Mode performance on MacBook Pro (early 2011) models.

Apple updates Unibody MacBook Firmwares

Apple has issued firmware updates for the unibody notebooks, including MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air. All models have two firmware updates available, EFI and SMC, both of which require system restarts.

To get the latest firmwares, launch Software Update from the Apple menu in the top left corner of your screen. Updates will be downloaded and installed, but it’s a little different then a normal software update.
