Across Age DX action RPG on sale for iPhone, iPod touch
Do you enjoy the Zelda games? More specifically, do you enjoy the games that aren’t Zelda, but are very much like Zelda? If so, you’ll be pleased to know the action RPG Across Age DX is now just 99 cents. Across Age DX is the only 2D iPhone compatible JRPG in full Retina resolution, and the latest version has a bonus dungeon, an extra boss fight, and a much improved battle system compared to the classic edition of the game.
Appletell reviews Across Age HD for iPad
Having played Chaos Rings just recently, I thought it would be hard to find a similarly good game for the iPad. I was wrong. There is another great RPG adventure game available: Across Age HD. Fans of old school 16-bit RPGs such as the all-time-classic Legend of Zelda will surely have a blast with this flashback game. Across Age has all the bells and whistles that make up a classic RPG title, and we’re fortunate to be able to play it on the iPad.
iPad Appidemic: Beyond Ynth HD
I’ve played quite a few side-scrolling adventure games on both my iPhone 3GS and iPad. While most of them were good, I have to say nothing’s come close to how well Beyond Ynth was designed. Put a cute little bug on a side-scrolling journey in a game that both kids and adults would enjoy and you have the best formula for an entertaining game. Beyond Ynth has great, varied gameplay, great-looking game environments, and enough challenges and puzzles to make this game addictive.
The Legend of Zelda on the iPhone?
Well, no. Of course not. Do you think Nintendo would allow such a thing? But if the developer comments and preview video are any indication, it looks as if Across Age may very well be close enough to Hyrule to make Zelda fans feel right at home. Across Age is a co-production between mobile veteran FDG Entertainment and the renowned Japanese developer Exe Create, and is being billed as the “…first true console like Japanese Action RPG on the Apple AppStore.”
