Coming quietly in the night like a ninja, it appears as if Apple has updated much of their more expensive software. According to Phil Schiller, “The new Final Cut Studio includes more than 100 new features and dramatically expands Apple’s ProRes family of codecs so editors can work in the studio with the highest quality video or on location at low bandwidths.” However, it is also interesting that Apple has decreased the price tag on this product by $300 and priced it at $999, or just $299 for an update.

Apple has released an update for their Pro Studio apps. The full release notes are here, but it’s just your general “stability” update.
