Duke Nukem Forever for OS X review

I could more easily forgive Duke Nukem Forever’s shortcomings if the developers had the guts to let them be the humor. But rather, they try to draw comedy by making fun of their (mostly superior) competition, and ultimately making fun of us, as if Duke alone is above their (and our) scorn. And yet, Duke himself is the reason why this game doesn’t work. He’s not funny, he’s not annoying, and the game eventually works its way there, too.

Evidence found for Duke Nukem Forever iOS port

Duke Nukem Forever is finally getting close to its release date, which is currently scheduled for June 14th in North America. It doesn’t seem very surprising that the developers would want to port such a highly anticipated PC and console game to mobile platforms. According to evidence found in the game’s manual on Steam, Gearbox Software plans to do just that.

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition for Mac OS X review

Two things should tell you that it doesn’t serve much purpose anymore, reviewing Feral Interactive games. First, they know what they’re doing. Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition coming to Mac OS X

The holiday wish list of proper Mac gamers everywhere has just been udpated. Gearbox Software and Feral Interactive have announced that the Mac edition of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will be hitting stores on December 3rd. The package comes complete with the Borderlands stand-alone game, its entire game add-on library, and a bonus fold out map of Pandora.

Appletell reviews Brothers in Arms: Double Time for Mac OS X

When it comes to first-person shooters, I’m generally happier when the setting is WWII. I think this is because it’s easier to become involved in a story about men fighting an historical war than in one with a bunch of aliens or zombies. And although WWII may be an over-saturated market at this point, Brothers in Arms: Double Time distinguishes itself in two ways: story and tactics.

Brothers in Arms marching to the Mac…in Double Time

Hot on the heels of the release of Rome: Total War for Macintosh, Feral Interactive has announced the release date for their next game in their Feral Legends series, Brothers In Arms: Double Time. Developed by Gearbox Software, Brothers In Arms: Double Time will bring the first two games in the Brothers in Arms series—Road to Hill 30 and Earned in Blood—to the Mac on April 16th.
