Hodgeman, Apple to run final Get a Mac ad to kick off the Stevenote?
According to rumors surrounding WWDC, Apple will air a final Get a Mac commercial with John Hodgeman as the sole actor. The plot? As 9to5 Mac puts it, “PC pretends to be a bartender and gets a guy drunk in order to get his hands on his new Apple prototype!!” If this is true, it’d certainly get a nice laugh out of everyone there. Perhaps, they’ll even poke fun at Gizmodo, too, for purchasing that lost phone. The only disappointing part about this ad will be the fact that it most likely is a finale ad according to the rumors around the cancellation of the Get a Mac ads.
Apple cancels “Get a Mac” ads?
Your favorite comical Get a Mac ads you have grown up with have seemingly been canceled. Instead of appearing on Apple’s website, you will now be redirected to a page about “Why You’ll Love a Mac.” Furthermore, it appears as if Apple has taken them off of their site all together; searching for “Get a Mac” yields no results. Luckily, all of the ads can easily be found on YouTube via a simple search or at sites created for Get a Mac ad lovers.
Obsessed with Get a Mac ads? There’s a site for that.
If you’re into marketing and advertising or just simply find Apple’s Get a Mac ad campaign interesting, you might want to visit AdWeek’s website. They’ve set up a page that has all 66 (yes, 66) advertisements from the campaign so far. They’re organized chronologically and categorized by the year in which they came out. It’s some pretty awesome stuff, in my opinion. You can caught in hours of advertisements if you’re into that sort of thing.
New “Get a Mac” ads target Windows 7
“Time to upgrade…to a Mac” is the theme of the latest Get a Mac ads. Targeting Windows users who hope that the new operating system will solve the problems of the widely-derided Vista, the new commercials suggest that owning a Macintosh might be the real solution to their problems. As always, John Hodgman plays the long-suffering PC, trying to convince frustrated users that Windows 7 will be different, much to Justin “Mac” Long’s subdued skepticism.
New Get a Mac ad talks about innovations
There is no doubt that Apple may be a more innovative company that Microsoft. While I’m not implying that Microsoft simply copies all of the tops products that come out of Cupertino, Apple does certainly make more barrier breaking products, in my opinion. Their latest Get a Mac ad, PC Innovation Lab, focuses on these innovations…or lack thereof. It has the same two actors you’ve grown used to, as well as a special guest PC or two with the same witty type of dialog.
New online Get a Mac ad features Apple’s high customer service rating
Apple, Inc. is a content producing machine, lately, with plenty of new ads for the iPhone, and now a new online ad for their Get a Mac campaign. This ad, which can currently be seen on the New York Times website as well as other major websites, is called “Mac Customer Satisfaction” and features the usual two suspects, Justin Long and John Hodgeman. This time around, PC tries to correct a “mistake” that seems to be made when it comes to Mac’s customer satisfaction ratings. However, it ends with a nice surprise.

More new Get A Mac ads.
Apple has put out new Get a Mac ads, one directly countering Microsoft’s “I’m a PC” ads.
“Bean Counter” opens on PC sitting at a table with a green visor on, dealing out a pile of money into two stacks, one for advertising, one for fixing Vista. The advertising stack is much larger than the Vista stack, which only has three bill-bundles in it. Mac asks PC if that is really enough money for fixing Vista’s issues, and hilarity ensues when PC decides that Mac is right and moves all the money over to the advertising pile.
BONUS FUN TIMES: Watch PC’s stack of bills. While he is dealing them out, the stacks remain the same, with five on the left and three on the right, despite the fact that PC moves at least two bundles during this time. Then, after the camera cuts away to the Mac, and back to PC again, the stacks are mysteriously equal, though during this time, PC has not moved a single bill. Consistency, folks.
“V Word” opens on PC standing with a buzzer in his hand, buzzing out every time Mac says Vista. PC says instead of “the V word,” they will use a name with much less baggage, “Windows.” Mac says that Windows is Vista, and when PC buzzes him, he proceeds to say Vista over and over and PC cannot keep up.

Is Apple filming a secret commercial, or do they just love to get rumors started?
Are you wondering what witty jokes the good ol’ people over at Apple will come up with to intro this year’s WWDC? Sorry, we don’t have any of those for you, but we may know where this filming took place. According to a Valleywag article, Apple built a full size replica of an Apple Store more »
Yet another “Get a Mac” Ad
During tonight’s broadcast of American Idol, another Get a Mac Ad premiered. The ad features PC in a country music- inspired outfit, singing a sad country song about Vista’s fallibility. The howling blood hound also ads a “nice touch”, but Mac’s kind words fail again to console PC’s Vista woes. This ad follows the release more »
Apple adds two more Get a Mac Ads
Apple is at it again with two more witty Get a Mac ads. This time around they are entitled “Pep Rally” and “Group” and of course feature the same actors as usual. The Group ad consists of PC announcing that he has been able to live with Vista for a while now at what appears more »
