Google brings Goggles app to the iPhone
If you own an Android device as I do, you’ll know that Google Goggles is one of the coolest apps to hit the Android Market. Google Goggles for Android has been around since last year, but it’s only now that Google is making it available for iPhone users. The app is available through the free Google Mobile app for iPhone which has been available in the App Store for quite some time now. Google Goggles is nice visual search app that lets you take photos of objects such as logos, products, and landmarks and then use the app to analyze the photos to find interesting information about them.
Google Mobile App updated with voice search
Google’s anticipated update to Google Mobile has finally gone live. The update was expected last Friday, but for whatever reason…Apple…it’s out now.
The most “talked” about feature is, of course, the ability to search using only your voice. All you have to do is hold your iPhone up to your ear and speak your query as if Google is a person on the other end of the line. If you can make it past the geek factor of doing this, your iPhone will upload the sound clip it recorded to the net where Google’s machines can make sense out of the sound.
Voice search is probably the coolest new feature, but it’s not the only one. Following are the full details from the update.
