How to track your activities with RunKeeper
Tracking your exercise activities may not be something you do now, but it’s definitely something you should consider doing. Not only is it easy, it can help you analyze your performance, see your progress over time and even help you prove how much better in shape you are than your friends on Facebook. All you need is an iPhone and a wonderful app called RunKeeper.

Track “bed intruders” with the Sex Offender Tracker app
Does your product relate in any way to an internet meme? Would you like to attempt to ride the wave of popularity of the original meme? If so, you might just be BeenVerified.com. They’ve released a new app called “Sex Offender Tracker,” and their spokesperson is none other than everyone’s favorite bandanna wearing homeboy, Antoine Dodson. It uses the iPhone to augment reality with locations of registered sex offenders in your area for just $1.99. That way, you’ll know exactly when to hide your kids, and when to hide your wife.
NAVIGON MobileNavigator price reduction through September 30th
NAVIGON is offering a price reduction on all versions of MobileNavigator. Widely regarded as one of the best GPS apps available for the iPhone, NAVIGON features map material from NAVTEQ and offers numerous add-on features, such as live traffic information, 3D maps, Facebook and Twitter integration, and more. And through the end of September, you can get it all for $10.00 less than normal.
Half off Navigon Mobile Navigator GPS app
One year ago today Navigon’s Mobile Navigator debuted on the App Store. It’s arguably the best turn by turn guidance app available and the one that I consistently recommend. And it’s even easier to recommend it when they do something awesome like slash their prices by half across the board. That’s right, you can get any of Navigon’s Mobile Navigator apps or add-ins half off until August 15th.
Live weather, “clever” parking come to Navigon GPS
Navigon’s MobileNavigator 1.6 is now available in the iTunes App Store, bringing with new features such as Live Weather, Clever Parking, updated NAVTEQ maps, Destination Information Display, Pedestrian Mode Voice Guidance and Enhanced Reality View Pro. Even better, for the first 12 days from launch date, MobileNavigator will be selling at the promotion price of $49.99 (regularly $79.99).
Appletell reviews CoPilot Live HD for iPad 3G
An iPad 3G GPS guidance app was inevitable, someone just had to be first. And that someone is CoPilot Live. It’s been available for the iPhone for some time, and is an attractive option for a lot of users because of its low price and robust feature set. The most attractive of these features might just be that they update map data every quarter, providing you with the freshest maps available—well, unless you’re Google or something.
Buy only the maps you need with Navigon’s MyRegion GPS
Today, Navigon announced another App Store first with MyRegion, a guidance app with in-app map purchases in the U.S. MyRegions has all of the great features from the North American version of MobileNavigator that made it the best navigation app on the App Store. But what makes MyRegion different is that you can buy the maps that you need, when you need them, from inside of the app.
Appletell reviews the Magellan RoadMate 2010 North America
iPhone GPS guidance apps aren’t quite a dime a dozen, but there are more than enough choices to make you, the consumer, wonder which fits your needs the best. Let’s take a look at Magellan’s Roadmate 2010 North America.
Macworld 2010: Navigon updates MobileNavigator
Navigon’s at it again. No surprise, really. This time, they’ve been working on Panorama View 3D and MyRoutes. Oh yeah, they also added Twitter and Facebook connectivity. I’m beginning to think the rest of the GPS apps on the App Store are just playing catch up with Navigon.
