At CES in Las Vegas this week, Griffin Technology is showing off an audio amplifier that uses an Airport Express to capture your AirPlay stream, decode it, then send the lossless, amplified sound through your speakers that otherwise aren’t AirPlay enabled.

Helo TC iDevice controlled helicopter review
I’m not quite sure what’s the appeal of flying things around my living room. There’s a limited fly zone, and exceeding those boundaries could result in damage to some very expensive equipment and decorations. And yet, testing Griffin’s iDevice controlled Helo TC was quite fun…for about 12 minutes; that’s all the longer a charge lasts. A large part of the appeal comes from the fact that I’m flying a physical helicopter with my iPhone 4.
CES 2011: Hands on with Crayola ColorStudio HD for iPad
Admit it, you never really stopped enjoying coloring books. That’s a big reason why I think Griffin’s partnership with Crayola for ColorStudio HD is going to be a huge hit not only with kids, but their parents and adult friends too. It’s a glowing stylus that interacts with Crayola’s ColorStudio HD app, a fancy, modern coloring book that animates and reacts to motion.
CES 2011: Griffin and Crayola partner for children’s iPad products
What could possibly come out of a partnership with Crayola—a favorite brand from many children’s childhoods—and Griffin—a technology accessory creator? A way to change the way children draw and learn. Through their partnership, these two companies have created Crayola ColorStudio HD, “… an entirely new digital play experience, coupling a multi-activity drawing application for iPad (Crayola ColorStudio HD App) with a custom-built digital stylus, called Crayola iMarker.”
Slap bracelet returns with the Slap Wristwatch Case for iPod nano
Fact: slap bracelets were the bomb. And just because that fad has come and gone doesn’t mean it needs to stay that way. Trends are cyclical, don’t you know; it just needs to be updated a bit. At least, that’s what Griffin is thinking with their Slap Wristwatch Case for iPod nano. It’s a very similar concept, only with a spot for your iPod nano right in the middle of all this slapping good fun.

From the moment they started to make iPhone cases and accessories, Griffin Technology has consistently given us some of the best options. Two of their latest for the iPhone 4 take the same design cues, but serve entirely different purposes…at different degrees of success. Let’s take a look at the Elan Passport Wallet and Elan Holster Metal.
iPod case product announcements
At their September 1st media event, Apple updated every iPod in the product line (save for the lonely, forgotten classic). That, of course, means new cases. Plenty of them. And the developers have been quick to issue press releases about that they’ll be making available, and when. As they come in, we’ll round them all up here so you can be ready to go when your new iPods touch, nano and/or shuffle arrive.
