Appletell reviews the You Rock Guitar

The You Rock Guitar is not an electric guitar, it’s an electronic guitar. Yes, it may look like a fancy Rock Band game controller, but it’s so much more. It’s not only a game controller, it’s a MIDI controller and a functioning instrument…and it may just be the perfect tool for the musically inclined gamer or electronic musician. If you’re expecting this to sound or play exactly like a guitar, you will be disappointed. If you’re expecting it to be a fun musical tool, you will be happy.

Guitar Hero shreds on the iPhone, iPod touch

You had me at “Fat Bottomed Girls.” As part of today’s WWDC Keynote presentation, Activision announced that Guitar Hero is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. The new game features all-new gameplay that will keep players rocking out as they strum, tap, slide and whammy to the hottest tracks from the bands they know and love, such as Queen, Rise Against, The Rolling Stones, Vampire Weekend, Weezer and The White Stripes.

CES 2010: The YouRock electronic guitar, midi and game controller

The YouRock guitar has nearly all the bases covered when it comes to guitar, from a real instrument to a game controller. The possibilities of this instrument/controller really blow my mind, and I’m imagining yours too. I have even heard that there’s an iPhone app coming, so I guess there will be an app for this sometime soon too. You can expect this thing to ship around summer time for $179 and the game carts for $20 each.
