Halloween apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, 2011 [updated]
Halloween is upon us, once again affording kids the opportunity to stock up on candy that their parents will later steal, leaving them only with Necco wafers and that toothbrush from the well-intentioned but ironic dentist in the neighborhood. It also affords iPhone, iPod touch and iPad owners the opportunity to stock up on Halloween-themed apps, so it’s time we started rounding them all up for you. Check them out past the jump…if you dare!
Appletell reviews Ghosted for iPhone, iPod touch
I absolutely love the premise of this app. In fact, it’s the second such app I’ve tried out, and it’s the second such app to leave me somewhat disappointed. Ghosted, you see, allows you to add ghostly images to your iPhone photos, whether they’re taken through the app or pulled form your library. It’s a cool and quite creepy effect when done right, but Ghosted doesn’t always allow you to do it right.
Halloween apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad [updated]
Halloween is upon us once again, affording men the opportunity to dress up like police officers, vampires and pirates, and affording the women the opportunity to dress up like sexy police officers, sexy vampires and sexy pirates. It also affords app developers the chance to release their new Halloween apps, or at least modify them with a Halloween theme. There will be many, so we’ll round them up here to help iDevice owners get ready for the sexiest…I mean scariest holiday of the year.
iPhone Appidemic: The Halloween Scream Machine
Screaming, when you think about it, is really almost an art form. Sure, anybody can scream, but it takes a good screamer to make the effect convincing. Horror movies seem to have this down pretty well, which really adds to a lot of movies. However, real life needs an easy to access, awesome scream machine. Well, guess what; this application does just that.
App it Up: The Fright Factory
Just in time for the haunting season comes this app that offers up plenty of scares. It has creepy sound effects, an instant haunted house, and optical illusions. With The Fright Factory, it is almost like having three apps in one. While it’s not something you are going to sit in the office and play (well…unless you work for the Addams Family), it could cause a bit of a laugh on your part when you use it to try to scare someone.
