Whenever there’s an Apple media event, I find myself getting lost in the content and announcements and missing the details. Unfortunately for me, the details are often pretty interesting. Thankfully, there are always those crafty people who analyze every frame of Sir Jobso and the demoes he and other Apple executives present to fill us in. Most recently are some interesting interface changes in Mail.app and iCal.

Mac OS X 10.5.5 has been released and is available via the Software Update function.

The release notes outline updates to Address Book, Disk Utility and Directory Utility, iCal, Mobile Me, Mail, and Time Machine. Other general fixes are included.

As we reported earlier, Apple released Mac OS X 10.5.4 today, an update which fixes several issues with iCal, AirPort, Safari, and Spaces & Exposé. We’ve now got some additional details, coming to you after the break.
