Google drops special formatting for iPhone
Once specially formatted for the iPhone, iGoogle has changed to the same format found on Android and a few other phones. The previous version, which had the ability to display web gadgets as well as show and hide various objects on the page, has now disappeared. A more universal version has taken it’s place, with no reason being given.
Early Macworld gift to iPhone/touch users
Google will announce an update to its popular unified homepage for the Safari browsers of iPhone/touch devices. The current design, just six weeks old will be usurped by a new version that improves the experience. The original brought together many of Google’s handy services like search, Gmail, RSS, and others onto one screen for simplified navigation.
