Apple has updated their iPad App Store app to support the Genius feature you may be familiar with on iPhone or iPod touch. It’s designed to suggest other apps based on what you already have installed. The iPad version takes advantage of the extra screen space well. and even adds an extra feature: “iPad Upgrades.” It also helps you identify apps you have installed that were designed for iPhone, but that now have iPad specific versions.

A couple of days ago, Apple sent an email out to developers signed up to the iPhone SDK development program that detailed the plans for iPad apps. Basically, developers can now submit their latest creations for review, and providing they’re sent before 5:00p.m. on Saturday the 27th of March, they’ll have a shot at being available on the App Store on launch day.
