Winners of the Best iPhone App ever announced, Ocarina robbed
In the biggest miscarriage of award show justice since Ghandi beat Tron in the 1983 Academy Awards, the winners of the 2008 Best App Ever Awards have been announced, and Smule’s Ocarina did not win Best App Ever. Oh, sure, it won Best 99 Cent App, Best Musical Instrument App, and Most Creative Use of iPhone Hardware, but it was denied the top aware, and we at Applelinks are thinking of holding a protest. Apple cleans up at British Technology Awards
The results of this year’s British Technology Awards are skewed so heavily towards Apple that I have to wonder if Steve Jobs wasn’t maybe a judge. Actually, the results were determined by “… thousands of votes …” so it may be a fanboy thing. Still, having such rabid fanboys is certainly better for business than simply impressing a handful of men and women who sit around labs and pick apart technology all day.
