It’s now been nearly two weeks since the Macworld | iWorld 2012 kicked off in San Francisco, and the shift from the Mac to Apple’s iDevices appears to have been a success. Truth be known, the show was headed that way before IDG embraced it with the name change, as evidenced by the growing number of iPhone case developers occupying booths on the show floor. This year was no exception, as there were numerous companies with snazzy new cases to show off. So, what do you say? Shall we take a look, then?

In all the post-CES and pre-Macworld | iWorld commotion, we missed the announcement that Jasco Products has acquired the license to the T-Tech by Tumi brand, and will launch a full collection of accessories and cases for smartphones, laptops and tablets. The collection will remain true to T-Tech by Tumi’s “trend-focused brand of travel, business, day bags and accessory designs for high-tech lifestyles.”

Another Macworld has come and gone, this time taking a new name with it. And just as the new name implies a shift away from the Macintosh and towards Apple’s iDevices, so do our surprising finds, for the second year in a row. iOS apps and accessories dominated the show floor, three of which took us pleasantly by surprise: a video app, an art app, and some slick iPhone cases.

Just when you thought all of the interesting iPhone 4/4S cases had already been produced, here’s another. The iCA iPhone case makes you look like a tourist everywhere you go by making your iPhone 4/4S look just like a vintage camera complete with neck strap. But it’s more than just a case. It allows for two “lenses” to be added on to your camera’s standard lens, and even has a tripod mount.

Personally, I’m not one to place my iPhone where I’m likely to sit on it. But wallet-style cases are becoming more popular, and SGP is adding its Valentinus for iPhone 4/4S to the mix.
