The Facebook app for the iPhone has received an update that brings Timeline to the mobile users. Facebook users will need to have already set up Timeline on their desktop account in order to view and edit it on the iPhone. iPad support for the feature is “coming soon,” though no exact release schedule is given.

Via his Twitter account, developer Joe Hewitt has announced that he has submitted the Facebook app to the App Store, and it is now pending approval. The new app, which has been a few months in the making, will have a slew of new features that will match the updates that Facebook has made to its layout in the months following the release of Facebook 2.0 for the iPhone.
