MIT researchers create iPhone accessory capable of detecting cataracts
Another really cool medical use for the iPhone has been developed by a group of researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This one is capable of detecting cataracts in a user’s eyes. More than simply an iOS app, however, this creation comes as an accessory that snaps on to the front of an iPhone and uses its screen output to test for and monitor the development of cataracts, the leading cause of blindness around the world.
