First live iPhone orchestra to play on December 9th
Students at the University of Michigan Electrical and Computer Science division will be part of the very first live iPhone orchestra performance on December 9th, 2009. This concert will be both free and open to the public. Each of the students will be using one of Apple’s iPhones to create the music as part of a class at the college known as “Building a Mobile Phone Ensemble.”
Appletell reviews iMeem Mobile for iPhone, iPod touch
I really can’t figure out why iMeem hasn’t been sued into oblivion. The website allows registered users to upload their music, and other registered users to listen to the whole song. It is essentially a streaming music service you don’t have to pay for. iMeem Mobile for iPhone and iPod touch is not the same thing.
Ocarina of awesome
Well, my search is over, anyway. There have been may great apps released for the iPhone/iPod touch, but, Zelda geek that I am, this is the first I had to buy and download the very moment I learned about it. Smule has just announced Ocarina, the first and only app that transforms the iPhone into an expressive musical wind instrument. And to answer your question, yes. What kind of fools would the Smules be if they didn’t more or less teach you to play the theme from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time almost right away.
Details, video and some amazing audio after the break.
Interesting iPhone tip – play music and a game at the same time
Some games can come with some pretty annoying, repetitive music. Sometimes you just want to listen to your own, or maybe even a podcast. Up until now, you would just have to deal with it. However, if you want to play your own music while you game on your iPhone, or just find that Super Monkey Ball music annoying, there is an answer. An interesting trick from Mac OS X Hints provides the solution to this question, and although it’s weird, it’s cool.
Check it out after the break.
