iPhone video used in newscast
When Apple launched the new iPhone 3GS with video and the OS 3.0 software with the Voice Memos app, they probably never realized how these apps would go hand in hand. WFOR’s 5PM News did, though. A recent news story by their reporter, Gio Benitez, was shot completely with an iPhone camera. Although it can be edited right on the phone (which is limited to simply cutting it shorter), the broadcasting company did use Final Cut Pro to edit the video. That said, all of the narration for the newscast was recorded using Apple’s Voice Memo application.
