Appletell reviews the Dexim P-Flip Foldable Power Dock

In a sea of boxy, single purpose batteries, one company dares to think different. The Dexim P-Flip is among the best choices among iPhone batteries available now. While nearly all other batteries on the market are just that—batteries—Dexim has put some useful thought into this product. The Dexim P-Flip is more than just a battery; it’s that, a stand and a syncing cradle. What else do you want?

Then, there’s the free stuff. We’re giving away another Podium iPhone stand, an Xbox 360, and some iPhone 3G cases. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe to us in iTunes so that you can have the Appletellcast downloaded automatically every week.

Appletellcast weekly Apple podcast, March 8th 2009 [updated]

We have quite the episode for you this week. We have our first sponsor (GoDaddy.com), a survey that gives you the chance to win an Xbox 360, a discount on Podium stands, and, to put the cherry on top of it all, we’re giving three of the Podium Stands away over the next three weeks! Oh yeah, there’s some stuff about the last week in Apple news too: Mac Minis, iMacs, Mac Pros and Airports…oh my!

Appletellcast weekly Apple podcast: March 1st, 2009

The theme of the week is Apple’s Safari 4 public beta that took us all by surprise, and we followed suit with some discussion on the topic. We’ve also got some more articles and reviews that we talked about. Plus we’ve got a special 20% off discount code on the Podium stand that won our recent iPhone stand roundup for listeners. Be sure to subscribe in iTunes and listen all the way to the end for the code!

Appletell’s iPhone stand showdown

Okay, before we get to the showdown, why do you need a stand for your iPhone in the first place? Simple. A dock (and quite obviously a cable) just doesn’t cut it when it comes to accessibility. The dock is too close to the desk it sits on, and has no options whatsoever. The iPhone can’t be tilted or lifted for a better viewing angle, and it can’t be rotated to watch a video in landscape. All of these things are possible with a stand.
