In terms of touchscreen accuracy, the iPhone wins

MOTO, a company that helps startups, recently did some research on the accuracy of touchscreens on various popular smartphones, and found some interesting results. Based on their test, they found the iPhone did the best overall at tracking straight lines throughout the center of the phone. However, near the edge, and especially along the bottom, you can see that the iPhone began to suffer and curve.

With the recent problems bugging the iPhone’s touchscreen display, it’s about time manufacturers figured a way to solve that nagging problem. Thankfully, the boffins at Sharp have created a solution with optical sensors embedded directly into the LCD’s surface.
