Appletell reviews AmpliTube for iPhone, iPod touch
In terms of flexibility, this isn’t the same as AmpliTube on the desktop, but it’s very impressive for an iDevice. For instance, you can’t move the mic around to have it model the speaker from different angles. But what might be surprising is that you can use up to three stompboxes at once. And you really can’t perceive any delay. AmpliTube for iPhone is an amazing tool that may actually change the way you process your guitar, especially on the go.
Appletell reviews British Military Fitness for iPhone, iPod touch
British Military Fitness is your own personal trainer on the iPhone OS. You’ll get either an English or Australian accent giving you instructions and guidance as you progress through several fitness activities. You can choose to take more repetitive tasks such as push ups, sit ups or a bleep test, or go for a workout ranging from 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Within these workouts, you can select an intensity and an area on which you’d like to focus: cardio, muscular or both.
Appletell reviews Doc2 for iPhone and iPod touch
In this increasingly mobile world in which we live, having access to information on the go is no longer a nicety; it has become a necessity of the business world. You could lug your laptop around with you, but if you like your shoulders you may want to consider a lighter option such as your iPhone or iPod touch. With the help of Doc2, you can turn your phone into a mobile productivity center.
Appletell reviews iPhone apps to keep the kids quiet
Everybody loves their kids, but that doesn’t stop them from being annoying every now and then. Since you have very little shot of altering human nature, let’s try a time-honored parenting technique: distraction. Luckily, you have a distraction machine in your pocket. Whether it is in the car, at a restaurant or while waiting in line, Curious George Coloring Book and Monopoly can help you to get on track.
App It Up: Rock, Paper, Airplane!
If you’re looking for a fun little game to pass the time, you might want to consider purchasing Rock, Paper, Airplane. There are no amazing graphics or ground-breaking physics engine here, just pure simple fun in a basic gameplay setting that’s sure to kill a few minutes every so often and keep you coming back for more.
App it Up: Skee-Ball
Skee-Ball is that game where you roll balls up a ramp in an attempt to get them into various rings for high point values, but Freeverse is never content to just leave things as they are. So, they’ve added multiple play methods, in-air ball control, various goals to reach (hit each ring in one game, get a certain number of points, get nothing but 20s, etc.), an online leaderboard, and the ability to exchange fake tickets for fake prizes. As a result, Skee-Ball is likely to stay in your game rotation longer than you’d expect.
Appletell reviews Triple Shot Sports for iPhone, iPod touch
Triple Shot Sports is a brilliant game. The graphics, gameplay and development are all great. If you were a fan of Olympic-style games, or shooting games in general, you’ll really like Triple Shot Sports. All three shooting sports—Archery, Running Target & Rapid Fire Pistol—are varied and exciting. They require different skills, and have different tactics to succeed.
Appletell reviews BeatMaster for iPhone, iPod touch
BeatMaster is a simple application that aims to enhance your sense of rhythm and timing. There’s nothing special about it; no special features or brilliant concepts here, unfortunately. It simply allows you to tap along to a constant beat to see how accurate you can be in keeping time. It’s a lot harder than you’d think, too. It’s very strict, and I’ve yet to get a perfect score.
Appletell reviews Nunchaku for iPhone, iPod touch
There’s not a lot to talk about in regards to the design of Nunchaku. There’s no menu or options, and the instructions are limited to a single line. That’s alright though, because all you’re required to do is swing your iPhone or iPod touch around. I was slightly disappointed by its lack of features, but it’s a decent application to show off the accelerometer and for a quick burst of fun.
Appletell reviews Bobby Carrot Forever for iPhone, iPod touch
When I first saw this application, I was very excited. I remembered Bobby Carrot from one of my first mobile phones as a java download. To see it back in its former glory on the iPhone, well…it had a lot to live up to. Fortunately, for me, at least, it does. If you’re not familiar with the concept, Bobby Carrot is a puzzle game. The aim is to collect the carrots scattered around the map on 72 levels through 6 different worlds. The concept is pretty simple, but as you can imagine, it gets incredibly difficult towards to later levels.
