How to get album artwork for your iTunes song library

Ever since the advent of the iPhone and iPod touch, album artwork has become more and more important to me. I mean, face it, seeing the artwork of the song you’re listening to is a lot nicer than staring at a large, white/gray musical note in the place where a nice image should be. When it comes to getting this artwork, there are a few ways to go about it. Here, we’ll focus on the free way.

Appletell tip – view iTunes in List + Album Art mode

Apple has just announced iTunes 8, at the “Let’s Rock” event. After rushing to download it, I immediately fell in love with the Genius playlist maker, but I didn’t particularly love Grid view. While ushering in the Grid view, you may notice there is no dedicated button for a List+Art view mode, as there was in iTunes past. I discovered that there is a way to bring back the old view, which I enjoyed quite a bit.
