Google lost to Apple in purchase of Lala

More news of Apple’s acquisition of Lala has surfaced. Apparently, Google was also in the battle to get ahold of the music streaming service and the people behind the company in order to use it with their music search technologies. However, it’s quite obvious now that Apple came ahead in this battle simply by bidding higher than Google was willing to pay. However, this does raise some interesting questions.

Apple purchases music streaming service Lala

Apple’s acquisition of Lala is interesting no matter from what angle you look at it. With a large library of music freely available to stream as well as some content for purchase, Lala’s technology could certainly offer some interesting new updates to iTunes. Going by what Lala currently does, there is almost no doubt that this confirms Apple is planning to integrate some sort of music streaming into iTunes in the future.
