Whether you’re looking to become a Battlefield Hero or a Dungeon Overlord, all you need is a Mac and an Internet connection. In fact, that’s also all you need to play Mission: Impossible The Game. Or Mission Impossible: The Game. Mission: Impossible: The Game. I don’t know. I’m just going to move on to Cocktail 4.9.6 (Snow Leopard Edition), okay?

Next week is World of Warcraft’s birthday. Happy birthday, World of Warcraft! Do you think it’s tacky to buy it Jurassic Park: The Game? Just to be safe, you can buy it for yourself, instead, then give it something like TuneUp, Cocktail or the Tiffen Dfx v3 digital filter suite. Your other update today is SeedCode Complete for FileMaker Pro 11, but we really should be focusing on dinosaurs and orcs.

Did you ever play Bomb Jack at the arcades? You can now play Katana Jack, with fewer bombs and more katanas, one would surmise. The titles of today’s other software updates— PDF2Office, GoSign, SyncMate, Impression and Indigo would also lead one to believe none of them feature katanas or bombs…which they don’t. Oh, but maybe Neverwinter Nights 2 does.

If you’re looking for a new speaker system for your Mac, perhaps the Tango Bar will do. Or maybe you want some new headphones, and you want them to be white. Either way, you’re covered today. It’s the dawning of the Age of Enigma…or will be, come December. Until then, I guess we’re in the deep night of Raging Pigs and Dictabulus Speech. Your only other updates to carry through the weekend are to Dolly Drive, DriveSlim, SimpleRSS and Pins. I could tell you what they do, but I don’t want to quell your sense of adventure and discovery.
