Video of Aluminum MacBook? Probably not.
While this video may indeed provide an idea of what the new MacBook will look like, it is most definitely an attempt to drum up traffic. The video depicts a MacBook Air with a piece of paper covering the keyboard and a chunk taken out of the front; whether this was done in post production or is actually missing is unclear. The biggest giveaway here is the bottom of the MacBook Air lying upside down next to it.
The camerawork is typically unrevealing, staying in close, and focusing and unfocusing quickly. Were the camera to pan back, it would become even clearer that the “MacBook” is simply a MacBook Air with the “Air” disguised in post production.

Here’s hoping the September event fixes everything.
With the given that there will be a September Apple event, we can now turn to what that event might bring. Of course, everyone’s gone over the new stuff: new iPods, MacBook updates, and all that good stuff. However, we also should turn an eye to fixing what’s already out there. A whole lot is broken.

Is this the new MacBook in an aluminum case?
These pictures come from the same source, Apple Pro (via Engadget), as the last MacBook Pro aluminum case redesign rumor you may have seen. The picture shows a totally aluminum case for the MacBook. The MacBook label is in the exact same place as the current MacBook, and the case appears to be the same shape. While this still is just a rumor, the pics seem to either be real or really well done fakes.
