MacHeist giving away Socialite social media tool free

MacHeist asked the popular question, “Anyone want free software?” on their Facebook fan page yesterday, and, as usual, they weren’t being rhetorical. After generating a lot of deeply insightful “yes” answers, they offered a link to download Socialite, a social media aggregator from Real Mac Software. But there is a catch to get Socialite, a social media aggregator, for free.

MacHeist “nano” bundle; six Mac apps free today only

MacHeist, purveyors of the popular MacHeist Bundle, have a smaller yet sweeter deal available for today (Thursday, Nov. 12th) only: six applications available free of charge when you register with their site. As of this writing, the applications are free for the next 5 hours, which puts the expiration at about 11pm, EST.

MacHeist Software Bundle is on sale: $900 of software for $39

As I am writing this, the MacHeist 3 Bundle is about to be revealed. Last year, many were disappointed with the MacHeist bundle, as it had many apps that had been seen in the previous year, and no really spectacular app. This year, that was acknowledged, and a much better bundle has been promised. Appletell First Look: “Fresh” for Mac OS X

Fresh is a brand new application for OS X that is essentially a file management tool. What it does is take every file that you have interacted with, and shows it in a list. If you edit a Word file, download a file, save an e-mail attachment, take a screenshot, etc., it will show up, newest first, in Fresh’s top green “Recently Created” panel. In everyday computer use, this isn’t much help. But when you’re working on a project, it can be a huge time saver.

They are offering six applications in their bundle, and the admission price is current-economy-friendly at free. Here’s how it works. Visit the mac Giving Tree website and register if you don’t already more »

MacHeist users raise $50,000 for charities

So far this summer, Mac users worldwide have raised nearly $50,000 for several charitable organizations through the MacHeist bundle sale and charity drive. The popular Mac software distribution company has made it a tradition of donating 25% of all bundle sales to philanthropic organizations, including Direct Relief International, Save Darfur and Alliance for Climate Protection. more »

Vector Designer and SoundStudio added to MacHeist Bundle

As if the MacHeist Bundle wasn’t an amazingly good deal already, MacHeist has added two more great apps to the mix. Those apps are Vector Designer from TweakerSoft and Sound Studio from Freeverse. These apps bring the total number of apps in the bundle up to a whopping 14, with the value now weighing in more »

MacUpdate Bundle No Longer Waste of Money

MacUpdate has unlocked Parallels Desktop in its Promo Bundle, making it slightly worth the money. It seems like sales might not be as great as expected, because it took quite a while to reach the 5,000 sales needed for SoundStudio, and somewhere before the 6,000 mark, it seems they manually unlocked the remaining two apps, more »

MacUpdate Bundle Includes Parallels and 9 Other Apps, $65

Not digging the MacHeist bundle? Well you’re in luck because MacUpdate has just released their OWN bundle of software. In my opinion, it is a much better deal than the MacHeist Bundle, offering more unique applications. The bundle is priced at $64.99 and will end April 29th. The star of the show is Parallels Desktop, more »
