Macintosh and iPhone software updates and announcements for October 6, 2008:
- Moto Chaser, the mojo racer for iPhone, is temporarily available for $0.99.
- Find and share hiking/running/biking routes with TrailRunner…because moving forward and just occasionally turning left or right can get really confusing.
- And personally, rather than go running, I prefer to spend my time defending my towers from people running at them, as in Fieldrunners.
- They sure made color sound simple in kindergarten, right? Thankfully, Color Expert is here to help you sort through the mess of options that color really is.
- Toolbox 0.8.2 is now user friendly, which is good, because user spiteful apps never really do that well.
- The Dream Apps has announced Dream Capture 2.2. I wonder if it can capture that dream I just had about the shopping carts and Jessica Simpson.
- Dragoman is here to once again make the world safe for dragging!
- I climbed Big Stone Phone when I spent that summer backpacking across Europe. And I have some TalkingPics to prove it.
- I also left some iGraffiti while I was up there, but I’m not proud of that.
- If you put an infinite number of monkeys in a puzzle lab with an infinite amount of time, eventually they’ll burn it down.

- Wait…what? You don’t have solitaire on your iPhone? Do you have a power button? Sheesh.

- I was more excited about EarthDesk 4.4 when I though it was a low-budget 70s sci-fi flick.
- Sync’Em: your own personal mediator for Exchange, Google and Apple contact and calendar information.
- Well, those who just can’t go snorkeling without the pop stylings of the Jonas Brothers finally have the iPod case they’ve been demanding.
- BdPricer…for those who want to know just how badly their grocer is ripping them off.
- Design your own website with Sandvox. But please remember…your cats really aren’t all that funny to anyone but yourself.
- ZeusDraw is on sale. And I’m told you can draw more stuff with it than just Zeus. Which I think was a great development decision.
- XChange International has released four more QuarkXPress 9 XTensions. Guess how many feature the letter X.
- I’d be more apt to buy AroundMe for iPhone if it showed the location of truly useful businesses, like pinball halls and bubble tea vendors, not hospitals, gas stations and junk.
- Live, from San Jose, it’s iPhone conference!
- Can someone tell me whether these Kaplan Test Prep games from Aspyr have anything to do with Welcome Back, Kotter’s Gabe Kaplan? Because he always told those funny jokes to his hot wife.
