Video: The 17″ Macbook Pro

Now that the crowds have died down a bit, I was able to spend a little more hands-on time with the new 17″ Macbook Pro. The screen is a thing of beauty, but then, I like the glossy screen and the saturation it gives the colors.

iPhoto ’09 – What to expect

For those of you who haven’t been living under a rock this past week, you’re aware of Apple’s new and improved iPhoto application that will come out with iLife ’09 later this month. This update, which requires Leopard 10.5.6 or higher, brings a couple of exciting features such as Places and Faces (which are a nice addition to Events from the last version). Appletell grades Phil Schiller’s keynote

So it’s no secret that Phil Schiller was going to be under the magnifying glass during this, Apple’s last Keynote for Macworld. Macworld Expo 2009: Day 1

It’s the Monday before the final Apple Keynote at MacWorld Expo, the first official day of the convention, but there’s still a sense that it really begins tomorrow, or maybe it ends.

Certainly Macworld Expo itself doesn’t feel that tomorrow is an ending, they’re already promoting the 2010 convention as “the start of a new era.” But while they’re trying to draw con goers in for next year, the exhibitors are hastily assembling their booths down in the convention center. It’s sort of heartening to see Acura and EVE Online both rushing to finish their displays, perhaps lending an Allen wrench, and laughing at the guys from The Sharper Image.

But I digress.
