A multitouch future for the Mighty Mouse?

MacBlogz has put together a fantastic article about what they think might be the future of the Mighty Mouse. This possible future is based upon numerous patents filed by Apple and some speculation.

The Mighty Mouse debuted in August of 2005, and has since received only a small design change in 2007. The Mighty Mouse has been and continues to be an amazing device, albeit with a few flaws. It’s Apple’s only multibutton mouse, though these buttons are simulated with touch sensitivity, save the squeeze activated button. Recent patents have expanded upon that touch sensitivity bringing it into the realm of multitouch.
