Opera Mini for iPad is on its way
Opera Software is currently working on releasing an iPad-specific version of its popular mobile web browser known as Opera Mini. The company announced that Opera Mini for iPad will be launching at Mobile World Congress (which will run from February 14th to 17th) in Barcelona, Spain this week. Opera Mini for iOS has been out for a while for all iDevices via the App Store after Apple finally allowed it in despite initial rejection in fear of competition against its own iOS version of Safari.
Sygic bringing turn by turn GPS to the iPhone
The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona usually means a quiet time for Apple. But even with no presence at the event, the iPhone still manages to creep its way in. Sygic, a company that develops GPS applications for smartphones and PDAs promised a demonstration of their software on the iPhone at MWC. They didn’t let us down, and so, on the TeleAtlas stand, they demonstrated the application on an iPhone 3G for the first time.
