WhosHere app brings a pseudo-MMS functionality to the iPhone

myRete, creator and developer of the proximity networking app for the iPhone called WhosHere, has just added a new feature to the application, and it is actually something which we all have been wanting: MMS sending capability. Although the feature is not really outright MMS functionality, it does the job, and does it pretty well. WhosHere, which is currently in beta version .098, allows you to send up to 10 images a day to any iPhone or iPod Touch users OTA for free.

But the image sending capability is just an added feature of WhosHere. More importantly, it is a social proximity application for meeting friends or potential dates. When you upload and install the free app into your iPhone, you will answer six questions about yourself and who you are interested in meeting. The app will then show matches who are near your location. Right there and then, you can send unlimited free text messages to those people within the WhosHere app. And, of course, what happens next is up to you.

Other features of WhosHere let you remove profiles from your Chats history screen, time stamp text and picture messages, offer support for hundreds of international characters and provide faster loading of profiles and pictures.
