new apple products
Apple’s “holiday lineup is set” but what does that mean?
There have been stories floating around the web claiming that Apple is not going to release anymore products this year. With the new 27″ iMac, Magic Mouse, and unibody MacBook being released last week, this shouldn’t really surprise anyone. However, of interest in this story is how Apple has called the tech website Gizmodo and stated, “The holiday lineup is set.” Now, isn’t this basically what no more products in 2009 means?
Online Apple Store is down – just maintenance?
It seems that once again the online Apple Store is down, on a Sunday too. Since it’s only a few weeks since Apple’s latest media event, it’s unlikely that any product updates will appear – it’s more plausible to simply be maintenance updates. Still, the Apple TV has seen slight changes recently…
Appletell Review – iTunes 8
It’s finally here. The latest installment of the app that changed the way we listened to music has officially been announced. At Apple’s Let’s Rock event, the first item on the docket was this new piece of software. With new features such as Genius and HD TV Shows, many changes have been made to the system. Some of them are great, some of them are OK, and some of them just plain suck.

Analysts pessimistic about upcoming Apple event
With the Apple Event scheduled for September 9th, there has been much hype surrounding the event. It is all but confirmed that there will be redesigned iPod nanos, possibly some new iPod touches, maybe a Mac or two, and perhaps a new version of iTunes. Now all this is fine and dandy, but there are some who don’t share my and many other’s optimism about the event. AAPL has continued to fall, despite the great possibility that something(s?) wonderful will be announced at the upcoming event.
Find out why after the break.
Is this the new iTunes Visualizer?
With the September 9th Apple event looming, possibilities are almost endless. Rumors of new iPods, Macs, iTunes 8 and more abound, and many people cannot wait until the 9th to sink their teeth into some new Apple goodies. One of those new goodies could be iTunes 8, and rumors point to that not just including the regular “bug and stability fixes,” but also many changes and new features. One of those rumored new features is the addition of a new visualizer. According to Vimeo user flight404, he has gotten his hands on a leaked video of the newest iTunes visualizer.
More info and a video after the jump.
Is this what the new iPod nano and iPod touch look like?
It seems that Alibaba.com has a listing for a “Screen Protector for iPod Nano 4th Gen,” and, potentially far more interesting, a picture of the rumored device.
This lines up with pretty much all of the current rumors for the new iPod nano 4th Gen. It has a click wheel and dock connecter, like we’ve come to expect. This picture appears to suggest the body of the device will be curved, but it looks as if the screen is flat. The screen also seems to be taller, making widescreen video much easier to watch.
Details, and news on the 2nd gen iPod touch, after the break.
Online Apple Store closed
We all saw this coming, right? If you were waiting for concrete proof that something new is heading our way, here it is. The online Apple Store is temporarily closed, and will undoubtedly be right back up the moment Steve leaves the stage, allowing everyone access to the shiny new toys. That leaves us with more »
