New clock faces available for 2010 iPod nano

The 2011 iPod nano brings in some new features such as the revamped interface, the enhanced Nike+ app and the cute clock faces (which include a face with Mickey Mouse). I almost ordered the new iPod nano right there, but stopped when I read there’s a new software update for the device that brings the same features.

Apple introduces the new iPod nano with multi-touch screen

Apple’s newest iPod nano is anything but the same. Gone is the old, tall design. The new iPod nano is very square, but it’s hip to be square, right? Gone are the buttons, too. But that doesn’t mean compromises have been made. The new iPod nano supports multitouch, genius mixes, Nike+, FM radio and even has a clip to keep it right where you want it. What more could you want?

Rumor: Shrunken 6th gen iPad Nano coming soon?

Question: How do you know an Apple press event is on the horizon? Answer: The rumor mill goes crazy. On top of recent iTV and FaceTime rumors, a new one is pointing towards a 6th generation of the iPod Nano. What could Apple possibly do to that device this time? Make it more nano! The new iPod Nano is rumored to have a 3cm by 3cm screen (the previous was about 3cm by 2.5cm), and, according to the pictures, it appears as if that’s all the device will be.

iFixIt gets their hands on a new iPod Nano

Well, just as soon as Apple was able to release a new iPod Nano, the guys over at iFixIt were able to get their hands on it, take it apart, and examine it. Through their finds and detailed tear down notes, curious users can learn what exactly is in their iPod Nano. For example, iFixIt discovered that the video camera is only a slim 3mm thick.

New iPod Nano announced

Kevin Rose’s spy shots turned out to be correct! The 4th generation iPod Nano is exactly like the spy shots we’ve seen in the last week or two — it has an aluminum oval design, with a longer screen. Jobs claims it’s the “Thinnest iPod we’ve ever made”, and “You’ll be blown away by how thin it is”. As for new features, the 4th-gen Nano will have an enhanced UI, accelerometer from the iPhone and iPod Touch for CoverFlow — and, support for the new iTunes 8 Genius function.

Live coverage of Apple’s “Let’s Rock” event

We’re now at the morning of September 9th, the day of Apple’s “Let’s Rock” event. Stick with us here at Appletell for our live blog of the event, offering details of the new products as they’re announced.

Online Apple Store closed; employees out “rocking”

As is typical before an Apple product announcement, the online Apple Store is temporarily closed, and will undoubtedly be right back up the moment Apple stops rocking the live event. The question is, then, what will be in the store when it comes back up? The new iPod nano? An updated iPod touch? New MacBooks more »

Analysts pessimistic about upcoming Apple event

With the Apple Event scheduled for September 9th, there has been much hype surrounding the event. It is all but confirmed that there will be redesigned iPod nanos, possibly some new iPod touches, maybe a Mac or two, and perhaps a new version of iTunes. Now all this is fine and dandy, but there are some who don’t share my and many other’s optimism about the event. AAPL has continued to fall, despite the great possibility that something(s?) wonderful will be announced at the upcoming event.

Find out why after the break.

iPod nano 4G pictured

At this point, we know an Apple product isn’t official until somebody takes a crappy, rushed picture of said product. The picture above clearly shows an orange iPod nano, meeting all the requisites we’ve seen in the last week. With all the hoopla around Kevin Rose’s iPod information leaking, we’ve all been lead to believe that Apple is indeed making a new iPod nano. Now, this picture of an elongated iPod nano all but proves that September 9th will be the day Apple makes Kevin look like the leading Apple pundit.

New iPod or Honest Mistake?

With the Apple September 9th event around the bend, some things are almost certain, but others, not so much. Right now, we can pretty much undoubtedly say that something will happen to the iPod Nano, with a focus on design. Now that that’s all but been set in stone, lets shed a little light on more »
