new ipod touch
Does this case reveal the next generation iPod touch?
No. It doesn’t. Not in my opinion, anyway. We received a tip with a link to uxsight.com, an online retailer that is marketing a silicone skin for, apparently, the iPod touch 3G. The case is on backorder, of course. The big difference between this and other cases? A hole at the top back that our tipster feels could indicate the inclusion of a camera.
The new iPod Touch, now with Bluetooth! [Update]
Well, I guess Apple snuck another one past everyone. The new iPod touch not only has a speaker, volume controls, curved back, and a slimmer profile, it also has bluetooth.
Well…kind of.

Online Apple Store closed; employees out “rocking”
As is typical before an Apple product announcement, the online Apple Store is temporarily closed, and will undoubtedly be right back up the moment Apple stops rocking the live event. The question is, then, what will be in the store when it comes back up? The new iPod nano? An updated iPod touch? New MacBooks more »
Analysts pessimistic about upcoming Apple event
With the Apple Event scheduled for September 9th, there has been much hype surrounding the event. It is all but confirmed that there will be redesigned iPod nanos, possibly some new iPod touches, maybe a Mac or two, and perhaps a new version of iTunes. Now all this is fine and dandy, but there are some who don’t share my and many other’s optimism about the event. AAPL has continued to fall, despite the great possibility that something(s?) wonderful will be announced at the upcoming event.
Find out why after the break.
New iPod or Honest Mistake?
With the Apple September 9th event around the bend, some things are almost certain, but others, not so much. Right now, we can pretty much undoubtedly say that something will happen to the iPod Nano, with a focus on design. Now that that’s all but been set in stone, lets shed a little light on more »
Kevin Rose predicts mass iPod update
Take this with an entire shaker of salt, but Kevin Rose, founder of everybody’s favorite website, Digg, has announced his take on the September iPod updates. Rose says, in a YouTube video he created, that there will be a mass revamp of the entire iPod line. He hypothesizes that the iPod nano will go back to its roots and sport a longer, narrower form factor.
Additionally, according to his “sources,” he says the iPod touch will go under minor cosmetic changes, but more importantly sport a revision to its OS, which the iPhone will receive shortly thereafter. Kevin also says the iPods will drop in price to distance themselves from the iPhone, which starts at $199. Finally, he adds that iTunes will be updated to 8.0, which will earn the upgrade from version 7 with many new features. As expected, all of this will be announced formally within the next few weeks.
