Get Nike+ GPS for free!

Nike is giving away their popular Nike+ GPS app for iPhone starting today. The app uses the GPS in your iPhone to track where you are and how fast you’re going. It can help you go faster by playing the songs that motivate you the most and even provide instant stats during your run. There’s no word of how long it’ll be free, so you might want to take advantage of this offer ASAP.

Nike+ GPS iPhone, iPod touch app connects with Facebook

If you’re a runner, you’re probably using the Nike+ GPS iPhone/iPod touch app to help you track your running goals and activities. If you’re not using it, now may be the time to start. Nike+ GPS has just been updated to version 2.0, and it now lets you connect with your friends on Facebook. Wait, so what if the app connects with Facebook? Well, peer motivation is a great way of inspiring you to achieve your goals. As a runner myself, I know it’s very difficult to go through the boring process of training for a run, especially if you keep it to yourself. Sharing your running achievements will help you get motivated.

Apple introduces the new iPod nano with multi-touch screen

Apple’s newest iPod nano is anything but the same. Gone is the old, tall design. The new iPod nano is very square, but it’s hip to be square, right? Gone are the buttons, too. But that doesn’t mean compromises have been made. The new iPod nano supports multitouch, genius mixes, Nike+, FM radio and even has a clip to keep it right where you want it. What more could you want?

Leaked screenshots of iPhone app for Nike +

I’ve been jealous of the iPod nano’s ability to use the Nike + kit for some time now. Currently, the iPhone can’t use the peripheral that tracks your runs. But according to iphone.fr, an app is being developed to make use of the Nike + on the iPhone (and presumably the iPod touch), and will possibly cure my jealousy.

iphone.fr has some great leaked photos of the rumored application that look pretty tempting. Many more features are available straight from the app than are offered on the iPod nano. For instance, you can track your goals and progress with the app. It offers some great looking graphs, and keeps track of a lot of details.

Details and pics after the jump.
