If you’re a photographer, you’ve no doubt heard of Lensbaby. They make awesome lenses like no other company. Today, they announced the Composer Pro. It’s a lens that combines the tilt/swivel action that allows for tilt shift photography with the selective focus mechanism that Lensbaby is known for. But more than that, the Composer Pro is said to have a silky smooth swivel ball making it easier than ever for you to find the sweet spot.

Are you an aspiring photographer? Then to fit in with the cool kids, you need to stop trusting your camera so much. Auto mode is for beginners. However, full manual mode can be pretty intimidating and spit out horrible results if you don’t know what you’re doing. Thankfully, you can use something like iExposure to help calculate some of the values you need to take better pictures, better than Auto.

Joby has a Gorillapod model for every size and weight of camera, from point and shoot to cell phones to DSLRs. This time around, I’m taking a look at the Gorillapod Focus, which is currently their strongest flexible tripod available. It can hold up to an astounding 5kg (11lbs). That means it’s either a bit overkill for what you have, or just perfect. It’s really aimed at holding professional video equipment. Think huge camcorders.

I must say that Comic Touch is a very unique application for the iPhone/iPod touch, and does a very good job at editing and adding comical effects to pictures directly on the iPhone or iPod touch. Comic Touch is a mixture of plasq’s two other apps for Mac OS X—Skitch and Comic Life—as it allows users to edit images with a variety of different effects, including Bulge, Dent, Squeeze, Stretch, and Light. It also offers the ability to add speech bubbles and captions to a photo to give it the feel of a comic.
