Chuck Norris, Charlie Sheen starring in War Pinball HD

If your general opinion of pinball is that there’s just not enough Charlie Sheen as Chris face or Chuck Norris as Colonel James Braddock torso on the playfield, get ready to have your mind blown. Gameprom, makers of the stellar pinball sims Pinball HD, The Deep Pinball, and numerous others for Mac and iDevices, has announced War Pinball HD, featuring tables based on Platoon, Navy SEALs and Missing in Action.

Appletell reviews MAD Daedalus pinball for Mac and PC

The great thing about LittleWing pinball sims is that they could, for the most part, exist in your local truckstop. They play like real machines, forgoing lasers and warps and such nonsense for the most realistic ball physics you’re going to find on that side of the computer monitor. Such is the case with MAD Daedalus, their 11th pinball sim, now available for Mac and PC.

LittleWing releases Mad Daedalus pinball for Mac OS X and PC

After an uncharacteristically long absence, pinball sim giant LittleWing has announced the release of their 11th game: Mad Daedalus, a sequel to their 1994 classic Loony Labyrinth. Although Mad Daedalus comes with a fairly fantastic story centered around spaceships and ancient civilizations, it’s reflected through pure, natural pinball. Their games could easily be real machines found in arcades, restaurants and truckstops, and they’d always be worth your quarters.

Appletell reviews $0.99 pinball games for iPhone and iPod touch

I doubt there are many people out there who, upon first seeing the iPhone screen, thought, “Hey, it’s shaped just like a pinball playfield!” Not even I did that, and I do enjoy the pinball. But fact is, yes, the iPhone and iPod touch gaming mechanics are conducive to some solid pinball action, which is why there are so many options available to here. Here are a couple of the $0.99 variety: Pinball Wizard and Jungle Style Pinball.

App it Up: The Deep Pinball

The Deep Pinball is quite possibly the best pinball sim currently available for the iPhone. It has a fun, imaginative playing field that faithfully replicates the kind you can still find in truck stops and bowling alleys across the country. The graphics are attractive, the audio is authentic (although I could do without all the talking), and—most importantly—the gameplay feels natural. It should appeal not only to pinball fans, but also to those looking for a new quick-game option.
