Apple to introduce 8GB iPhone 3GS, replace 8GB 3G?

In June, Apple did not fully phase out the 2008 model of the iPhone, the 3G. Instead, they chose to sell the 8GB model of the iPhone 3G in stores—that is, until a time when supply of the device is exhausted. This may be closer than we previously thought, as the Boy Genius Report has a picture of a supposed Rogers internal message, titled “Rogers 8GB iPhone transitioning to 3GS.”

Data rates keeping iPhone from Canada?

That’s the reason according to Michael Geist, Canada research chair of Internet and e-commerce law at the University of Ottawa: “The barrier to the iPhone in Canada is not Apple.
