Samson Meteor Mic now available

You have an iPad or iPad 2 and you’ve been loving GarageBand, but you need a better way of capturing audio than the built in mic. Sound familiar? Samson has a great solution, the Meteor Mic. It’s a large condenser USB microphone that works with nearly anything with a USB port, including the iPad with a Camera Connection Kit USB adapter. The Meteor Mic is now available at all Best Buy locations for $99.

CES 2011: iOS audio accessories

CES is packed with great audio gear. There are always a ton of headphones, but I’m talking about accessories to help you make music. Stuff like microphones and accessories that help you create. Here’s what I found to be the most interesting products that can be used with iOS devices, including products from IK Multimedia, Samson, Griffin, ION Audio and more.

Record quality stereo sound anywhere with the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder

Want to record audio on the go? Zoom has the perfect tool to record better than CD quality stereo audio on the go. It’s called the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder, and it’s small enough to fit in your pocket but it won’t break the bank. The H1 records linear PCM (WAV) files at 24-bit/96 kHz, which they say is higher quality that a CD, though you aren’t likely to have source material of similar quality.

Appletell reviews the Samson G-Track USB microphone

Choosing the right tools to capture audio can be difficult. An audio interface is flexible in that it can accept instruments and/or microphones—possibly at the same time—and likely separate them to individual tracks. Samson might not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of USB mics, but with microphones like the G-Track, they’re getting closer.

Appletell reviews Samson’s Q2U recording kit

Whether you’re an aspiring podcaster or musician, or you’re just obsessed with the sound of your own voice, Samson’s Q2U USB recording kit might be the perfect fit for you, your voice, and your budget. The kit has all of the essentials that you’ll need to start recording audio. It comes standard with a set of DJ style headphones, a very special microphone, a desktop tripod, a USB cable and an XLR to 1/4 inch cable.

Appletell reviews Samson’s Go Mic

The Samson Go mic has most all of your mobile microphone needs covered. While an internal microphone might be a small step forward for recording ease, the Samson Go mic is a giant leap forward for quality. The Samson Go mic is a portable mic designed to attach to your notebook (or sit on your desk) and provide the best audio quality available in a tiny package.
