Skype has announced its release of Skype 5.3 for OS X, which brings full support for OS X Lion and HD video calling to the popular VoIP app. This release comes just a month after Skype 5.2 was released for OS X, which was also a major update that added features such as screen sharing, in group calls for premium subscribers, and an updated call control bar that supported video calls.

If you have Leopard and haven’t tried out at the very least iChat’s built in screen sharing capabilities, I’m wondering why not? It is, for lack of a better word, awesome.
