iPhone, now with Ringtones

That’s right, during today’s “stevenote” Steve announced that the iTunes store will be selling Ringtones. The Ringtones will cost 99 cents, plus the cost of the original song on iTunes. So for just $1.98, you get a full song to play on your computer and iPod as well as a Ringtone for your iPhone.

Most Ringtones you purchase are “pre-cut” for you. Basically, you don’t get to choose what part of the song you want. With iPhone Ringtones, you get to choose the length and section of a song you would like to use.

Finally, ringtones for your iPhone?

This just in from the NY Post. On September 5th, Apple is supposedly going to announce custom ringtones for the iPhone.
