Apple, as you may or may not have heard, has not been overly lenient with itsiTunes App Store approvals, even with items has high end as Google Voice. Slingmedia is hoping it isn’t next on Apple’s chopping block, and that, as Engadget reports, its recently submitted Slingplayer 1.1 will make it through to the masses.

The SlingPlayer Mobile app for iPhone is an app that takes your existing SlingBox content and makes it available to your iPhone provided you are connected to the Internet via WiFi.

SlingMedia is prepping up a new version of its SlingPlayer software for the iPhone and iPod Touch. SlingPlayer, which currently works with Macs, PCs and other mobile phone platforms, is software that lets users connect their devices to Sling’s Slingbox hardware, enabling them to watch live or prerecorded TV across the internet through their devices. more »
